Weekend Wrap-Up: Lily-Rose Impresses at Senior British Open Apparatus Championships

Read all the highlights as Lily-Rose Doel made a strong debut at the Senior British Open Apparatus Championships in Newcastle.

On April 7th, the Senior British Open Apparatus Championships took place in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, where our talented Rhythmic gymnast, Lily-Rose, made her debut in the senior category. Supported by her coach, Katie O’Connor, Lily-Rose competed strongly in a field of around 30 gymnasts, delivering a performance to be proud of.

Her standout moment came in the ball apparatus, where she secured an impressive 16th place. Competing against some of the top National Squad members, Lily-Rose’s placement is a real success, highlighting her progress and potential at the senior level.

This performance is a significant boost for Lily-Rose as she heads into her training preparations for the upcoming National Grade Finals and English Championships in June. Her determination and strong showing in this competition mark a key step in her journey, and we’re excited to see what the next few months hold for her!

A huge congratulations to Lily-Rose and Coach Katie for their hard work and dedication. We’re incredibly proud of your achievements and can’t wait to see what’s next!

Don't forget to join us every Monday for our latest blog post! A huge thank you goes out to our amazing coaches and gymnasts for their dedication, and to our South Essex Gymnastics Club family for their continuous support – none of this would be possible without you!
