Read all about the exhilarating highlights from an action-packed weekend filled with impressive performances, as our gymnasts showcased their skills and determination across multiple championships.

Scottish Championships: Shannon Archer Takes the Crown

On Saturday February 17th in Ravenscraig, Motherwell, Scotland, our esteemed women's coach Ross Falsetta accompanied the remarkable Shannon Archer to the Scottish Championships. We are overjoyed to announce that Shannon emerged as the Women's Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) All Around Champion, dominating both Bars and Floor categories. Shannon's outstanding achievements mark her last ever Scottish Championships, leaving an enduring legacy of inspiration for her peers and younger athletes in Scotland.

Welsh Championships: A Gateway to Success

Simultaneously, at the Sport Wales National Centre in Cardiff, Michelle Flemings and Nicole Wooder guided gymnasts Tommera Hendricks, Maggie-Mae Shepherd, and Jerusha Clarke. This competition served as a crucial stepping stone toward securing spots at this year's British Championships. The girls will also compete at the English Championships, but regardless of the results, we are immensely proud of the girls' unwavering effort and energy.

Welsh Championships (Continued): A Show of Dominance

On the same day in Cardiff, the Club continued to shine, this time under the guidance of men's coaches Anthony Wise and Andrew Tucker. Gymnasts Deshai Knights, Kaydn Jackson, Dylan Wright, Rueben Montrose, Harry Smallshaw, Sebastian Solomos, Danny Crouch, Alex Niscoveanu, Yoan Ivanov, and David Ivanov demonstrated exceptional skills. Kaydn Jackson claimed the U12 1st Overall, while Deshai Knights secured the U14 1st Overall. Rueben Montrose claimed the U14 2nd Overall, and Alex Niscoveanu took the U18 2nd Overall. These remarkable results, along with Danny Crouch's triumphant return after an ACL injury, the Ivanov twins high difficulty routines, and Jamie Langridge's awe-inspiring high bar routine, set a promising tone for upcoming championships. The South Essex Gymnastics Club family extends heartfelt congratulations to all our gymnasts, coaches, and supporters. Each competition weekend not only brings medals but also creates lasting memories and paves the way for future success. Stay tuned for more thrilling updates as our gymnasts continue to soar to new heights!
